In February, our Local President, Denise Yancey, decided to attend one of our local functions.  Seeing no familiar Mensan faces at the appointed place, she followed the logically prescibed procedure and called the editor, to verify the location of the meeting.  The editor's response was something like,"The meeting is supposed to be at this place at this time, and, I'm sorry, but that's the latest information that I have!"
An aggravated call to her web custodian engendered a similar response.  She went home with no intellectual stumulation, and perturbed.
The moral to this story is this:  If you are planning a function that you would welcome mensan attendance, or if you are changing the time or location of a function already on the calendar, please notify the program chair!
